Find the keywords that are relevant to your site, and find high traffic, with low competition keywords. 

Use  Google AdWords Keyword tool or WebStatsChecker.com.

New sites do not try to optimize for phrases 

Competition is too big, and you do not have enough “authority” to take on the big boys.First try small and maintain forums approximately 10 sites

We always optimize a single page per keyword / Phrase.

Link to that page from the rest of the site with the title of that page as the anchor text.

Build links to the content from external sites. don't buy links! U will get penalized if you do that. 

Rather request related sites if you can post an article to their site (with unique content), with 1 to 3 links back to your site (not follow).

Content must be related to the page you are optimizing for on both your site and the sites linking to you.

Even thou posting articles to Article website still work, they will not have a very big impact on your site’s rankings in the future, especially after the recent Google Panda updates.
